Expanding the Essenze repertoire, Ermenegildo Zegna introduces the new Essenze Eau de Parfum Collection. Taking your fragrance wardrobe to all new luxe heights, the five new colognes reflect on the brands heritage while tailoring to the taste of today’s dapper gents.
Delivering an alluring range inspired by nature, each new signature scent is lined with sophistication through exotic oils and herbs all playing together with Zegna’s exclusive and rare ingredients. “The collection projects the ultimate luxury of dressing by your own rules in a distinctly edited fragrance wardrobe. Each intense fragrance showcases a single precious ingredient blended with Zegna’s private reserve of Bergamot hand-harvested in Italy’s Calabria.”
A true burst of freshness, I spotlight Mediterranean Neroli before detailing the others below. The high citrus notes in Mediterranean Neroli provide a rich bloom intertwined with French Tarragon. At the heart of this cologne lies spicy Saffron and exhilarating Labdanum. Infused with the magnetic smokiness of Amber, Benzoin rounds out the composition of light and dark. Benzoin is the sap or gum resin of a tree that belong to the Styrax species.
Designed as an intense Eau de Parfum, the composition details are as follows:
- Top notes: Neroli, French Tarragon
- Middle notes: Saffron, Labdanum
- Base notes: Olibanum, Benzoin
Developed in collaboration with Alessandro Satori, Zegna’s Creative Director, Alessandro worked closely with perfumer Pierre Negrin and Marie Salagne. The collection includes four other scents. Italian Bergamot, a bright and expressive cologne that’s energised by spicy Pepper, Rosemary and Tonka Bean. Florentine Iris is a velvety complex lined with three variations of Iris and elevated by Violet, Musk and Jasmine. Indonesian Oud is a strong exotic scent magnified by the Oud from Indonesia. This oriental woody amber fragrance is woven with Zegna’s exclusive Bergamot and lingers with a touch of Rose and Patchouli for a lasting dimension. Madras Cardamon is a rich and dynamic cologne expressed via Green Cardamon, Pink Pepper and Bergamot that oozes masculinity. Warmed by Coffee Sabtos, Vanilla Bean and Ambrox, it is deepened by Cedarwood, Vetiver and Cistus Absolute.
Each charming scent is housed in a finely crafted smoky glass bottle featuring a sleek black magnetic cap and perfectly sized for the avid traveler. All five fragrances are defined by a custom colour and gold foil detailing.
