I am partial to a waistcoat when the look allows it and when donning a monochrome look, a single pop of colour adds a layer to the simplicity of the colour palette and helps to make a focal point of your accessory.
Grey and orange work really well together, so I opted for this bold Hardy Amies tie to lift the look yet still maintain its monochrome style with all other pieces. Adding a bit of extra detail, I paired a super fine houndstooth trouser with a fine striped shirt and layered a waistcoat; which always gives a dapper finish when choosing not to sport a blazer.
