‘Summer of Ease’ was the title of the latest Spring Summer collection from the sartorially esteemed brand, Hugo Boss. The location…the city that never sleeps; New York City.
Set up high on a rooftop building, the collection sashayed down a reflective runway that mirrored the red-soled shoes from each look. A range that executed an airiness filled with soft shades of grey, pastel and petrol blues, navy and a hint of tan.
Silhouettes were loose and breezy with tailoring evident in the consistent showcase of double-breasted suiting – both pant and short styling. Nautical vibes came through with rope detailing fed through jacket eyelets, while mandarin collar shirting appears to be the go-to choice for this summer. At a pre-show interview, designer Ingo Wilts said: “it’s all about lightness of ease”.
Spring period is covered with a series of trench coats to make the cooler days or nights effortlessly stylish and a little warmer. Taupe and white were dominant hues throughout the collection that simply speak summer styling.
Overall, a cool and classy collection fit for a sartorial summer.
Stay dapper gents.
