The ‘fashion food’ served up on the runway from designers of day 2 at London Fashion Week Men’s, has continued to walk strongly in favour of relaxed structures and looser lines in trousers and jackets. Skinny trousers and nipped in jackets have made way for voluminous, comfortable threads for Autumn Winter 2017. Sneakers and trainers are here to stay being paired back with many looks.
E. TAUTZ
Originally founded in 1867, the British ready-to-wear menswear brand is backed with 150 years of delivering luxe yet relaxed clothes. Patrick Grant, Creative Director of E. Tautz since 2009, showed shades of moss green, blues and earthy tones with wide shapes cut to drape off the body; wide leg trousers and slouchy jackets. A collection described by Mr Grant where “you can take any trouser, jacket or coat and wear them together with any shirt or knit. The colours compliment each other, as do the shapes. It all feels simple”.

CASELY-HAYFORD
To be in business for 30 years is a great achievement and even greater so in the fashion biz. For Creative Director, Joe Casely-Hayford and his son Charlie, navy and grey kept the collection consistent, while threads and fringing kept some suiting quirky and unique.

OLIVER SPENCER
The modern and extremely wearable collection from Oliver Spencer included shearling trimmed overcoats and bomber jackets, dusty pink pieces and examples of check and chevron pattern. Colours of navy and grey dominated while reds, olive greens and orange added highlights. The essence described by the designer as “tougher clothing, much more interesting and straightforward – clothing for boys.”

WHAT WE WEAR
Tinie Tempah known for making his mark in music with chart-topping hits has debuted his first-ever collection with label title What We Wear. With a monochromatic colour palette, pops of blue lifted the range for a contemporary street style aesthetic.

AGI AND SAM
A range heavy in red, black and white, the outerwear designs from Agi and Sam extended the detail to contoured trimming on coats to emphasise line and form. Trousers are a little more tailored than some of the other designers from LFWM, with fringing and frayed edges also prevalent.
