One of the latest bars to open comes from The Star. Perched high up and overlooking the city lights of Gold Coast in Broadbeach, The Star opened its doors to the latest space with a rooftop pool bar, ‘Nineteen’.
It’s the latest introduction to the newly renovated casino, positioned on level (yep you guessed it…) nineteen, including a fine dining restaurant and lounge bar, the expansive space has a very impressive view and great ambience to match.
Upon exit of the lifts, gold metallic walls reflect the white and grey marble floor before an oversized cylindrical chandelier suspends above the reception where you’re greeted by staff to direct you either to the dining room or lounge bar.
To your right, you’ll find executive Head Chef Kelvin Andrews creating fine dished for the 110 seated space, with a two-storey wine cellar exhibiting over 2000 bottles of wine from Australia and abroad just waiting to be savoured. While you wait to be seated the grey marble and gold bar will have your cocktails covered.
Set on top of the six-star The Darling Hotel, after dining head across the foyer to the rooftop lounge bar complete with an infinity pool, indoor and outdoor bar ready for some 500 guest capacity. As the DJ spins some great tracks while you take in the skyline views, a mezzanine level above the bar can also house about 80 people for a private shindig. Velvet lounges and booths, marble side tables, outdoor lounges and gold decor add the luxe finishes to a pretty awesome space.
Whether you’re a local or not, it’s well worth popping in for a tipple and taking in the great view. Head to star.com.au for more and for a little lounge bar styling inspo, head here.
Stay dapper,
Robbie – Dapper Lounge.
